The Challenges

The Cow Branch project is located between Rock Port and Tarkio, Missouri.   The project site spanned 7,000 acres and now produces enough electricity to power over 14,916 homes annually.

PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK

  • Engineering, procurement, and construction of civil and electrical system and substation BOP
  • Construction of 13 miles of access roads and crane walk paths and associated WTG crane pads
  • Construction of state and county road intersections to accommodate WTG deliveries
  • Spread-footer foundations, poured in-place concrete construction with steel reinforcement
  • Construction of 69/34.5 kV interconnection substation
  • Construction of 14 miles of underground 34.5 kV collector system
  • Interface coordination between wind farm and Northwest Electric
  • Fiber optics communication and SCADA network
  • Tower wiring
  • Energization and testing of the collector system and interconnect with the municipal
