IEA Inc. announces the award of an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contract for the Pioneer Trail Wind Farm located in Iroquois and Ford counties in Illinois. “The Pioneer Trail wind farm will be IEA’s ninth wind farm project in the state of Illinois and upon its completion; IEA will have constructed over 1,000 MW of wind generation just in the state of Illinois. This is an exciting milestone for White and a testament to all the support White has received from the various Illinois construction trade unions, local trade vendors, local and state public officials, landowners and project stakeholders.;” says JP Roehm, Vice President of Business Development.
As the EPC contractor IEA will be responsible for design and construction of all access roads, substation and transmission lines, wind turbine foundations, underground collection systems and wind turbine erection.
Ground was recently been broken on the project and scheduled completion is anticipated in the Spring of 2012.
