The Bruenning’s Breeze wind farm is located in Willacy County, Texas, near the towns of Raymondville and San Perlita. The 228 MW wind energy facility consists of 76 Acciona/Nordex 3.0 MW turbines. The project is located only a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico, which caused subsurface difficulties due to the high water tables. The project was impacted by over a month of high wind-related shutdowns, Hurricane Harvey, and other storm-related flooding that spread over 2 feet of water across thousands of acres of the project. Despite these obstacles, the project was completed on time and within budget
