Cameron Wind Farm
Cameron Wind Farm features enough power for 59,000 homes per year in the form of 55 Acciona AW125 3.0 MW turbines. The project is located 4 miles from the Gulf of Mexico coastline. The water table would rise and fall in the foundations in conjunction with the tide tables. Over a million gallons of water had to be removed and properly disposed to not contaminate the adjacent crop fields. The project provides ongoing energy, environmental, and economic benefits, such as creating additional income from tax revenues and providing income to local landowners.
