IEA Celebrates National Intern Day
For years, interns at IEA have been an integral part of our workforce. As many have learned the ropes of the business, we can't help but acknowledge the hard work and dedication each intern has brought to the table and the many innovative solutions we have implemented resulting from their efforts.
As summer is winding down, we wanted to take National Intern Day to honor all our summer interns across IEA and the other operating companies. These students have learned and grown during their time with us and have significantly impacted the departments where they've worked.
While we have had many exceptional interns this summer, we’d like to spotlight two specific individuals to highlight their experiences: Penelope Pala and Zander Gregov. Studying different engineering sectors, they both desired firsthand experience in the construction industry. They discovered IEA through career fairs held at their respective schools, where they gathered information on our recent projects and the impact we’ve been making in the renewable energy industry.
With peaked interests, Pala and Gregov applied to our internship program and quickly became valued members of our team.
They underwent comprehensive training, ensuring they were well-prepared for all they would tackle throughout their internship.
"IEA is such a family environment. It’s so comfortable, casual, and everyone wants you to succeed. Everyone wants you to learn," says Pala.
The pair did precisely that. They learned the ins and outs of solar and wind farms, became familiar with change orders firsthand and gained office and on-site experience.
We are immensely proud of all our interns’ accomplishments and are excited to see what they do next. We know that they will make our world’s future a brighter tomorrow!
