ENR recognizes IEA as a "Top Contractor"
We are proud to announce that IEA has made it on the 2022 Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 400 Contractors list. ENR recently released their complete Sourcebook survey results and IEA was listed as a top contractor across eight different categories. Learn more about the details of the rankings below:
Top Contractor in Transportation (Overall) – With wide-ranging heavy civil capabilities across several of our subsidiary companies, it’s no shock that IEA was ranked #41 in the transportation market overall.
Top Transportation Contractor – Highways – IEA has decades of experience completing heavy highway construction projects nationwide, placing us at #17 on ENR’s top highway contractors list.
Top Transportation Contractor – Mass Rail & Transit – IEA subsidiary Ragnar Benson Construction helped us expand our expertise and market share in the mass rail and transit sector. ENR listed us as the 17th largest mass rail and transit contractor in this year’s report.
Top Contractor in Power (Overall) – From wind farms to traditional power plants, IEA is a leader in the construction of energy infrastructure nationwide. IEA has been ranked #4 on the overall top power contractors list.
Top Power Contractor – Wind Energy – ENR ranked IEA as the #1 largest wind farm contractor in the nation, solidifying our market-leading position in this expanding market. This is a development that we are so excited to lead the industry in.
Top Power Contractor – Solar – IEA is actively growing our capabilities in the solar power sector. This year, we were ranked #8 on the ENR top solar contractors list.
Top Power Contractor – Fossil Fuel – ENR ranked IEA as the #8 largest fossil fuel contractor. This is the first time IEA has ranked in this category and we are excited for the direction we are headed in.
Top Manufacturing/Telecom Contractor – Mining – Saiia and William Charles Construction, two IEA subsidiaries, have significant operations in the mining and materials production sector, earning us the #5 spot on ENR’s top mining contractors list.
It’s a major accomplishment to be listed as a top contractor across so many diverse categories. Not only does this support IEA’s leadership position in energy and infrastructure construction, but this recognition also fuels our motivation as we continue to deliver the highest caliber of work to our customers nationwide.
