Construction Inclusion Week | Luz Guizar
The success of our company begins with the leadership that is displayed in the field. While those in the field are able to fully support our projects and their success, they're also supporting our employees and creating an environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
Luz Guizar serves as a laborer on the Turkey Creek Solar project and while she admits that it can be tough to work far from home, she's continually proud of the work that is being done and who she's doing it with. IEA is all about innovation and ensuring safety at every project, something that she admires and knows that others are unified on.
"Safety and quality are the main work objectives for those working in the field. The work environment is professional and serious, where safety and quality are involved, but we still like to make room for fun moments and camaraderie," said Project Executive, Marlon Orellana. "Our project teams are empowered in many different ways and it’s important for our people to feel like they're a part of a team and cared for - something that IEA does well."
From sun up to sun down, those in the field are working side-by-side and creating a special camaraderie that cannot be matched. It's a factor why most from the field are building their careers here at IEA. Having been described as a hard worker, someone that you can rely on and always having a positive attitude from Orellana, we are proud to have Guizar share her story and be a part of the IEA Family.
At IEA, we believe that everyone belongs and we're encouraged to see that our employees are feeling supported and working toward the same goal together. Because at the end of the day, we know that we can't hit any goals alone. We hope that you're inspired by Luz' story and that you also feel a sense of pride as you show up to work every day.
Thank you to Luz and the Turkey Creek Solar project for opening up your time and sharing your stories with all of us!
